The Town of Windermere is located in west Orange County, approximately 12 miles from downtown Orlando.  Windermere is bordered on the east and on the south by Orlando, to the north by the city of Ocoee and on the west by the city of Winter Garden.

Pristine sand bottom lakes surround this small, West Orange community. The largest lake, Lake Butler, is located on the west, Lake Down on the east, and Lake Bessie on the southeast side of town.
