The City of Ocoee is located in west Orange County, approximately 10 miles from the downtown Orlando city center.  Ocoee is bordered on the south by the town of Windermere and the town of Gotha, on the east by Orlando, on the west by the city of Winter Garden and on the north by the city of Apopka.  The current population of the city is 36,320.

The City of Ocoee motto is “The Center of Good Living.”  Residents would agree that the city is the perfect combination of a central location, the convenience of necessities, the availability of things to do and a local, hometown feel.  The city is home to the West Oaks Mall, the only mall in west Orange County, and many other shopping centers and plazas.  Ocoee is extremely convenient to all major roadways and highways, including the Florida Turnpike, 408, 429 and highway 50/Colonial Drive.

The beautiful Historic Downtown is home to many local businesses, shops and restaurants.  Downtown Ocoee, including both the beautiful Starke Lake and Bill Breeze Park, is enjoyed by both residents and visitors throughout the year.  The city utilizes this Downtown area for community events, including a weekly farmer’s market, monthly movies in the park and the annual Ocoee Founder’s Day Festival in November, which brings the community together for an entire weekend of fun and entertainment.  This festival in draws visitors from all over Central Florida.

If your desire is to live outside of a traditional neighborhood, there are many homes for sale in Ocoee that are not located inside subdivisions – and therefore, most times, do not have an HOA (Homeowners Association) fee.
