Delaney Park is one of Orlando’s oldest parks. It was originally called Duckworth Park, but the name was changed in 1959 to Delaney Park. The park is approximately 7.25 acres. Delaney Park offers a good blend of oak-shaded areas, ball fields, open space, playgrounds and picnic facilities. Parking is available on side streets.

Delaney Park can be noted for brick streets, mix of homes dating from the 1920s to present day, large oak trees, and close proximity to Orlando Regional Medical Center, Winnie Palmer Hospital for Children and Orlando’s Amtrak Station.

Living and Working in Delaney Park

Delaney Park has a great location with plenty of big city amenities found just minutes away. It’s one of the most desirable locations in Orlando and it’s home to some very beautiful historic homes. Delaney Park’s prime location – just south east of Downtown Orlando – makes for a short work commute. Orange Avenue, a major Orlando road, is easily accessible from Delaney Park and runs straight through the downtown area.

As the area south of Downtown Orlando grows (commonly referred to as SoDo) there are new job opportunities every day.
