Thornton Park Orlando

Downtown Orlando is the historic core and central business district of Orlando, Florida and is home to some of the most beautiful homes and properties in all of Central Florida.

Downtown Orlando is home to residential and commercial towers; local and state government offices; sports facilities; performing arts theaters; art galleries; a movie theater; retail; nightclubs; and parks. It is also the location of numerous festivals, parades, political demonstrations, and other high-profile events year-round.

It is bordered by East Marks St in the north, Mills Ave in the east, Orange Blossom Trail in the west, and Kaley Ave in the south. There are five enclaves in downtown; “Uptown” in the north around Lake Ivanhoe, “Lake Eola Heights” and “Thornton Park” in the east around Lake Eola, “Parramore” in the west, and the “Central Business District” (or the “Financial District”) between Colonial Dr and Lake Lucerne in the center.

Thornton Park is a great place to unwind and find real relief in the brick-lined streets of the City’s most stylish district. Just east of Lake Eola in Downtown’s green heart, the residential neighborhood is home to street after street of oak-shaded bungalows. Many of the streets were built in the original Florida “cracker” style with wrap around front porches. A colorful commercial district stretches along Washington Street, Summerlin Avenue, and Central Boulevard, with a European feel to the restaurants and boutiques.

Charming, residential Thornton Park is known for its boho-chic clothing boutiques, organic juice bars and stylish eateries, as well as its classic bungalow homes, shaded by large oak trees heavy with Spanish moss. At the neighborhood’s heart, lively Washington Street has a genteel European feel thanks to a decorative fountain and a number of wine bars and cafes with outdoor seating.

The Thornton Park District features upscale eateries, inviting neighborhood bars, and trendy boutiques. Unwind along their picturesque brick-lined streets and colorful landscapes.  Home to charming Craftsman-style bungalows and soaring luxury condominiums, this hip urban area hosts community driven events, live music, and diverse entertainment on a nightly basis.
